Talk about how successful Apple is at guarding their unreleased product secrets, this time Nokia seems to have followed a similar path. Though, the only difference being that instead of a leak or lost prototype you have a country head mistakenly leaking a future product himself.
Paul Amsellem, Head of Nokia France was discussing Nokia Lumia 800 which was launched in the country yesterday and Nokia’s share in the country which has seen a drop in the last few years with a French newspaper named LesEchos.
During the talks he shared that Nokia’s current market share in the country has dropped to 16% from close to 25%, which they held only about two years back. And interestingly compared the Lumia 800 to a BMW 5 series, stating that the 7 and 3 series are about to arrive soon as well.
While you can easily presume the Lumia 700 to be the 3 series, the 7 series could be the Nokia 900, a premier version of the Nokia Windows phone which has been in the rumors for quite some time.
But most importantly, he directly confirmed to LesEchos that Nokia would be introducing a Windows 8 tablet which would be launched in June 2012.
