Symbian might have lost most of its sheen but there are some developers who are not ready to give up on it and Opera seems to be one such persistent developer. They have been continuously developing for the platform and giving Symbian users some cool products that most Symbian folks cannot simply do without. Earlier this month, they launched a Symbian version of opera Mini which is a good upgrade over the stock Java version of the same that had its share of issues.
Opera has just updated its full fledged browser for Symbian the Opera Mobile 10 to version 10.1 Beta 2. The updated version of the browser gets under the hood tweaks that makes the latest version almost nine times faster with Javascript than the outgoing beta version.
The new found snappiness is thanks to the updated JIT compiler. A major feature addition with the browser is the support for location services. The browser also gets official support for Symbian^3 devices now.
The browser is a free download. Head to http://m.opera.com from your phone for download options. This one is a full 7 MB download.
