Samsung has announced the launch of its new mega sized phablets the Mega 5.8 and the Mega 6.3 in India. The devices are amongst the largest screened mobile phones you can buy today and as made evident by the naming scheme, boast of displays that measure 5.8 inches and 6.3 inches across. Both the Galaxy Mega 6.3 and 5.8 run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean feature Dual Core Processors with the 6.3 boasting of a chip running at 1.7 Ghz .
The 6.3 also gets an 8 megapixel camera and a 1.9 megapixel front camera. The phone boasts of 16 GB of internal memory and supports micro SD cards of up to 64 GB in size. The RAM is 1.5 GB in size. The 6.3 also gets a large 3200 mAH battery which should do a decent job of keeping the phone powered up for an entire day. The large screened Galaxy Mega 6.3 inches is priced at Rs. 31,490/-.
As for the Mega 5.8, this device boasts of a QHD TFT display. The Mega 5.8 is powered by a 1.4 Ghz dual core processor and runs Android 4.2. Like the Galaxy Mega 6.3, this one boasts of an 8 megapixel camera and a 1.9 megapixel front camera. Both the phones can capture videos in full HD. The Galaxy Mega 5.8 has only 8 GB of internal memory and can take micro Sd cards for further expansion. The battery is rated at 2600 mAH. The Mega 5.8 has been priced at Rs. 25,100.
