Apple hasn’t launched a new iPhone at WWDC 2011 as it did for the past four years. History expected them to do so, but all that came out at WWDC was the iOS 5, OS X Lion and iCloud. iOS 5 is in beta no 8 and Lion has been shipped through the Mac App Store. Last earnings update from Apple revealed that they have sold over 20 million iPhones in a quarter. And iPads are still dominating the tablet markets. Apple is also opening a new store in Shanghai, and while it has nothing to do with the fake Apple Stores, Steve Jobs has resigned as the CEO of Apple.
These are facts. There are several more facts that we know. But what has Apple told us about the 5th generation iPhone? Nothing. Not even its name.
But what have we heard from sources, analysts, case manufacturers, journalists, bloggers, twitterers and every other expert who has a landline? Everything that Apple will and should do for the next 10 years! The amount of noise around an unreleased Apple product has always been extraordinarily high, and that would remain so until you as a reader stop asking for it.
Some calculated guesses and estimates are fine, but Apple has found a manufacturer for chips being used in iPhone 6 and iPad 3? Four different names for companies supplying lens for the iPhone 5 and yet none of the reports claiming who manufactured iPhone 4s lens tally? No wonder I refused to believe the Gizmodo iPhone 4 leaks last year, they have been a Rakhi Sawant of the tech world forever, and when it comes to the iPhone, everyone has been the same
Btw Nimish came across an iPhone 6 prototype sometime back.
