Like Xiaomi, many other companies like Huawei, Gionee, etc are treating India as special and launch their phones at lucrative prices. Most recent being Lenovo which launched the A6000 at Rs. 6999. The A6000 is the cheapest 4G phone in India.
After the ban in India, Xiaomi is back with a new product and it remains to be seen as to how well it does in its first sale on 10th February, 2015. They also launched the Xiaomi Note and Note Pro in China which sold out really fast in sales. There is no update if those products will come to India in the near future. But Xiaomi mostly launches products in India much after their China launch.
