Xolo, yesterday launched a new addition to its range of LT devices – The Xolo LT2000. The Xolo LT2000 is a 4G enabled budget smartphone since it comes for a price tag of Rs. 9999. The company’s last phone in the LT series was the LT900 which was launched in December 2013.
The Xolo LT2000 is a dual-Sim smartphone. It is a 5.5 inch device which has a resolution of 720×1280 pixels and is protected with Dragontail glass.The phone is currently running on the Android 4.4 which is Android KitKat, but the company has promised to release an Android Lollipop update for it in future.
Talking about the strength of this phone, it is powered by a quad-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz along with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 400MHz.
The Xolo LT2000 features an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with a BSI 2 sensor and LED flash. It also comes with a 2 megapixel front facing camera. Talking about the storage, the phone comes with an inbuilt storage of 8 GB which then can be expanded upto 32 GB via microSD card. The device is backed by a 2920 mAh battery. Other connectivity features include the 4G TDD and FDD LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB with OTG, and A-GPS. The device is available only in Black colour variant.
Apart from this, Xolo has introduced a self-updating phone book named 6degrees. What is worth noticing is that the app also updates the phone book on the device whenever contacts change their devices. One can also search for shops and restaurants through this app. The company will bring the app to its users via an OTA update, which will be released next week. A Xolo user can also download and install the OTA update manually from the Xolo support website. However, the app will come pre installed in the next batch of LT2000 smartphones.
It would be interesting to see how will the phone performs in the market because one can get the YU Yureka which has similar specs for Rs. 9,000 or one can opt for the Lenovo A6000 too which costs Rs. 3,000 less.
