Apple seems to be all set for launching a bunch of new products in the near future. While we have already heard about the possibility of freshened up iPads arriving later this month, we now have one more news coming in. This is about a new 12 inch MacBook model with retina display. This is according to an analyst from KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo who has in the past been spot on about impeding Apple launches.
Kuo in his new research note predicts that Cupertino will release this 12 inch MacBook sometime in 214. Apart from this, there would also be a higher resolution iPad and an affordable iMac in its product line up.
This MacBook is expected to land in the second or third quarter of 2014 and would be as portable as the MacBook Air. In fact, there is talk going on about this MacBook being thinner and lighter than the current MacBook Air lineup. It would of course be powered by Intel’s newest chips. The newer iMac model with an affordable price tag might be the result of lower iMac sales over the course of the past few quarters.
As for the iPad, the new model expected soon is likely to feature a higher resolution display that betters the current one by at least 30 to 40 percent. The iPad Mini would get a screen resolution bump with the tablet likely to sport a 2048×1536 pixels Retina display
As usual, let us warn you that all this is a rumor at this point. Apple has of course being its usual self, chosen to remain silent over this and it would only by next year that we would know if all this was indeed true.
