It has been finally confirmed that Apple is indeed holding a media event on September 1. Now, that speculation about the date of the event is over, we can all settle down and start wondering about what it is that the Cupertino giant will unveil at the event. All indications are that we are going to be seeing a 4th generation iPod touch which, in keeping with the iPod touch -iPhone equation over the years – is going to something like the iPhone 4, minus the network access ability. So, yes, we are hoping for an iPod touch with a retina display, two cameras and a whole new shape. We are also likely to see an update for the iPad, bringing iOS 4 features to the tablet, and maybe even an update of iOS 4 (4.1?) for the iPhone 4 and the new iPod touch. We will know for sure, come September.
