Apple has announced a bottom case replacement program for white unibody Macbook owners. This will replace the rubber surface of the unibody Macbook that has separated from their bottom case. According to Apple, under certain circumstances, the rubber surface of the unibody macbook can be separated from the bottom case of the system (glue issue). The issue may arise on those Macbooks which have been shipped between October 2009 and April 2011. The company offers to replace the rubber surface without any charge for affected users.
There are mainly three ways to roll under this program :
1) You can visit to the nearest Apple retail store
2) Visit an authorized service provider
3) Order a replacement bottom case kit if you are pretty much sure that you can rectify the issue by yourself
If you point out that you have previously paid for the purpose then you can ask for a refund. Though this would not extend the worldwide warranty of your Macbook. This covers the affected macbooks only for two years from the original date of purchase, which leaves well over a year for you to complete your claim from Apple.
