The Futuristic Bracelet ‘Cicret’ Projects Your Phone Screen On Arm

Samsung has increased the size of its smartphones considerably with its Galaxy series and has made us familiar to the term ‘phablet’. Apple, too who took pride over their smaller screen phones had to now cater to the changing choices of consumers by launching iPhone 6+ which is 5.5 inches.

Although the screen sizes have increased, our hands have remained the same. And accidently dropping our phones, or struggling to handle it with one hand are some of the problems we have learned to live with. Wearable gadgets like SmartWatch, Smart Bands, Glasses help us but it’s not everyone’s piece of cake.

What if there was something less bulky, like a bracelet which would project your mobile screen on your arm and allow you to use your skin as a touchscreen. The techies at Circet are turning this idea into a reality and have designed a waterproof bracelet which lets you do so by projecting the android interface on your forearm through activating the band by twisting your wrist. Pommier, Founder of Circet believes that the future is this.

The users can do more amount of things in comparison to other wearable devices. In the official video of the Circet wearable bracelet, the users are shown replying to emails while taking a bath portraying it as waterproof, pinching in to zoom in on maps, play games and surfing the web with a quick twist to wake up the mobile device.

The bracelet comprises of a Pico projector which displays the interface on your forearm (not that it worked on mobiles, but still). Besides it, are eight proximity sensors in a line, these sensors point towards the projected interface and detect the action done by the finger or fingers of the users hand. It projects as a standalone device and can be activated just by twisting your arm, as said earlier.

Circet Bracelet will connect to your android device via the Circet App. The app can be downloaded on any android device without revealing much personal information, as it will be only used to generate a unique ID. This ID will be a channel of contact with the Circet server. The communication of the device with the server is encrypted. For security reasons, a unique RSA is generated everytime a user connects with the server.

The bracelet will be available in 10 different colours and in 16GB and 32GB storage capacity. The other connectivity options include Bluetooth, WiFi and Micro USB Port. It also has accelerometer, vibration module and LED for notification.

Currently, Circet is in the process of raising funds for the further development and production of the Bracelet. The device could cost upto $400 and is not available for pre-order. Its first prototype is due for completion in about three weeks time. Pommier says he wants to manufacture the devices and put it up for sale in one and a half year. If Pommier lives upto what he has said, It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the future is near! And we can all go ballistic with such toys.
