Not long ago, Lava had launched Iris 350 and Iris 470, targeting the budget conscious customer base. And this time, its Intex, another Indian manufacturer launching the Intex Aqua Desire. It has been listed on the company’s official website, but there is no official news on availability details of the device.
Intex Aqua Desire offers dual-SIM support. It sports a 4.7-inch screen with FWVGA (480*854 pixels) resolution. This is an impressive feature considering the price it is offered at. Aqua Desire is equipped by a dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor clocked at 1.2GHz. processor and is coupled with a 512MB RAM. Internal storage capacity offered by the device is of 4GB. Storage capacity is further expandable up to 32GB. Aqua Desire runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2.
The smartphone sports a 8MP rear camera with Autofocus and LED flash enabled while the front camera is of 2MP. Aqua Desire offers 3G support along with WiFi, Bluetooth, GPRS and micro-USB features. With the smartphone, Intex is offering pre installed apps like Ask Me, Intex Fun, Intex Market, Intex Play, Intex Zone, OLX, etc. This device is powered by a 1700mAh battery which is claimed to provide for 6 hours of talk time and about 250 hours of standby time. Aqua Desire is available in various colour variations like Blue, Grey and White. Intex Aqua Desire is priced at INR 5,560 on e-commerce sites like Rediff and IndiaTimes Shopping.
Intex had launched other such budget smartphones, the Aqua Eco and Aqua Y3 last month. And with Aqua Desire, it becomes clear that Intex is targeting the user base with budget constraints yet aspiring for smartphone experience. With its decent features and 4.7-inch screen, Aqua Desire looks good in the given price range.
