Apple has finally seeded its much awaited iOS 5.0.1 for public. This update mainly makes sense for those devices which had faced battery issues after iOS 5.0. It has arrived in the form of an OTA for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Though the size of the updating file may vary depending upon different devices. Finally, people are now out of that complexities of downloading heavy files in iTunes.
In addition to battery fix in iOS 5.0.1, it includes multitasking gestures for first generation iPad. Some improvements of Siri for Australian users and other bug fixes. This update has reportedly fixed a recent bug found by Charlier Miller which lets developer to push an unsigned code to devices. To demonstrate the same, Charlie also made a video on it. Due to which his account was terminated by the company.
Apple has vigorously tested iOS 5.0.1 before making it public with selected users. Despite the beta testing, the company has not been able to improve battery life for all users.
