Looks like the wait for the official launch of the iPhone 4S is about to end soon. Both Aircel and Airtel have announced their intentions to launch the handset in India in the next few weeks. While both of them have shied away from posting exact details about a plausible launch date, the language in the announcement makes it look like it’s just around the corner.
Both the companies chose to announce the impeding launch on their respective Facebook pages with Airtel asking users to “Watch this space” for further details.
Update: Aircel now has updated their website to say that users can preorder their iPhone 4S starting November 18.
When the iPhone 4S was announced last month, it was said that Apple would bring it to over 70 countries across the world by the end of 2011. Also, we had also put up an article earlier as to why we think the iPhone 4would make it to India very quickly unlike almost all previous iPhone models which saw a very delayed launch in India.
Anyway, as of now, there are rumors about the launch date being November 25. Watch this space!
