There are high speculations that Google will officially announce and also release the Android 2.2 Froyo this week after the Google I/O. It is expected to be available for the DROID, HTC Evo 4G and obviously the Nexus One while, other devices will follow later.
Although Google has not yet officially announced the new features, the web has already provided a lot of information and leaks regarding the Froyo. We already know that it is about 450% more powerful than the previous build and it will smoothly run the Adobe Flash 10.1. Other features include the ability to create WiFi hotspot using your Android phone and it will also have USB and wireless tethering.
We also got to check out the Flash 10.1 in action at the Adobe CS5 Roadshow last week, thanks to the Adobe evangelist’s we got a brief preview of the Froyo running on a Nexus One. I have to agree that the Flash 10.1 was running smoothly on the Nexus One and had brilliant interactive features. This for sure is a great development for Adobe as well as Google, however, we are yet to experience the true possibilities.
Beyond doubt, this is going to be a really brilliant update for the Android. Google has introduced some really sweet features and we expect to hear more of it at the Google I/O event this week.
