It was not long ago that Verizon CEO Dan Mead had talked about the possibility of Apple coming up with devices that support Verizon’s LTE high speed network. In a report that would certainly add weight to Mead’s opinion is a quote by the chairman of China Mobile, Wang Jianzhou who has said that Apple is definitely looking forward to join the LTE bandwagon soon. In a conference at the Chinese capital, Jianzhou claimed that Steve Jobs has expressed his interest in an LTE iPhone and is willing to start the development at an early date.China Mobile currently offers its TD-SCDMA based 3G services in China and would start off with TD-LTE in the future. It is already testing its LTE networks across various cities in China. With almost all of Apple’s competitors having 4G ready devices under their belt, isn’t it high time Apple too came up with one? iPhone 5?
