With just hours left for the next generation iPhone to be released, looks like we have the final set of rumors arriving before everything gets confirmed. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the new iPhone will NOT support 4g networks. This is contrary to the earlier rumors which said that the device would in fact, support 4G/LTE networks.
Sources close to Apple have apparently told the Wall Street Journal that the new device would only support 3G HSPA and CDMA networks – just like the exist versions of the phone does. Yesterday, reports also talked about Apple coming up with support for Sprint’s WiMax network followed by an LTE version would arrive early next year. The latest WSJ reports tell us that this report is not correct.
Anyway, we will find how much of all this will be true when the event kicks off a few hours from now.
