Continuing its phone launching spree, Nokia has announced the addition of yet another model to its C-Series family. The latest release is the C5-03 which happens to be a mid range handset boasting of a touch screen display.
The phone is similar to the existing line up of resistive touch screen laden Symbian^1 based phones. Let’s see what the C5-03 has on offer for you, the consumer.
The front fascia of the phone is dominated by the 3.2-inch resistive touch screen display. It has a 5 mega pixel camera at the back and also gets comprehensive connectivity options including support for tri-band 3G, Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS support. As mentioned earlier, this phone runs the older Symbian^1 OS instead of Symbian^3 which made its debut with the launch of the N8.
The phone is thinner than earlier, similar looking devices at just 13.8 mm thick. It is also a lot smaller. It has 40 MB of internal memory and offers microSD card support for expandable memory. Music buffs can heave a sigh of relief thanks to the 3.5mm jack. It is powered by a 1000 mAh battery and thankfully, supports charging via USB.
The phone comes loaded with Nokia’s Ovi services and gets all the standard Ovi fare including the Ovi Store, Maps and Music service preloaded on the device.
The C5-03 will be available at the end of this quarter, with an expected retail price of €170 (Rs.10,000) before taxes or subsidies.
