Apple has announced an event on March 7, 2012 and since the rumor mills have not rested. The latest being, that Apple might have started shipping their new speculated products i.e. the iPad 3 and Apple TV by buying most of the available air freight at premium prices. Several websites seem to be confirming the trend that indeed Apple might have caused a 20% upsurge in the cargo prices by singlehandedly buying most of the China’s air cargo space.
The rumors suggest that the product in all likelihood is the newer version of the widely popular iPad, for now dubbed as iPad 3. 9to5Mac.com in a report has claimed to have information about the iPad 3 shipment details corroborated from various sources. The sources alleged that the flight organizers have called for high security, shortened airport ramp and cargo stay time; now doesn’t that smell like Apple? The March 7 event does not have iPad 3 alone making news. We have been hearing about Apple TV, in the same report 9to5Mac.com suggests that considering the current constrained supply of Apple TV a refresh is imminent.
The general trend for Apple has been to announce a product during one of their keynote announcements and make it available almost immediately throughout United States along with their primary market. The primary market though is better known as the ‘first round of launches’. And if rumored shipments are anything to go by we can hope to see some shiny new products but till then only speculate as to what is Apple planning for March 7. What do you think is going to happen?
