The tablet wars are well and truly on and the latest verbal salvo in these (after the mauling handed out to Android by Tim Cook) has been fired by the folks at Toshiba. Just head over to the new Toshiba Tablet site using your iPhone or iPad and you will be confronted by the words “Such a Shame. Add this to the list of the interesting places on the internet you can’t see on your device. Of course, if you had a Toshiba Tablet you would enjoy the entire internet. Yep, Flash sites too.”
All of which seems a very direct poke at the Cupertino crowd. Honestly, while we do love all this verbal fencing, we cannot help but feel that Toshiba is on a sticky wicket, simply because its product is not even in the market (heck, it does not even have a name as yet). So the “if you had a Toshiba Tablet” logic does not work – there is NO way to have a Toshiba Tablet at the moment. But we are sure that will change shortly and of course, we are sitting and waiting for the next jibe in the tablet war.
