One of the most appealing and well bult apps for iOS is the Twitter app (do check the iPad version if you get a chance). However, the journey of this application has been very interesting from the beginning. Earlier, the application was known as ‘Tweetie’ (paid application) but later purchased from Atebits and turned out to be ‘Twitter for iPhone’ (free app on App Store). Twitter has gone into various changes in the UI.
Recently, twitter again upgraded the application to 3.3 version with some added features. Now you can search people on twitter through contacts in your iPhone/iPod Touch, catch the recent trending topics on the timeline itself, use the recent hastags when writing a new tweet, preview of the photo from the photo library/camera roll, track the recent location, more well organized direct messages.
