HP has a good range of printers that are capable of wireless magic. Be it bluetooth in the old age or WiFi for today, they have good offerings for you. It seems that they are working in full swing to push their wireless offerings, rolling out a ePrint service app for the iOS (works on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad).
We tested the HP ePrint app on an iPod touch 4G. The app lets you print stuff wirlessly as expected. You can either use the AirPrint feature from Apple and print to HP printers near you who support the protocol. The goodness of the app is realised when you see that you can take the prints from HP’s partners ranging from FedEx to Hilton. So you can get access to public printers around you for a quick print. The app interface is great and while we haven’t tested the printing via HP partner network, we hope the charges for the same is affordable 🙂
Ever since HP acquired Palm speculations have been plenty on the synergies between HP’s hardware and Palm’s WebOS. It was revealed that webOS would find its way to HP printers someday and with the cloud printing concept taking off, the days aren’t far when we would see smart webOS laden printers from HP. Did you know they already have wifi printers with google docs app on it?
