Lenovo A7000 Promises Value For Money

After enjoying huge popularity with the Lenovo A6000, Lenovo has went ahead and launched the Lenovo A7000. The A7000 is an upgraded version of the A6000. Like the A6000, the A7000 is also 4G enabled and lies in the value for money segment. The Lenovo A7000 is a Flipkart exclusive and will retail from 15th April at Rs. 8,999.

The 4G LTE smartphone sports a 64-bit 1.5 GHz octa-core processor from Mediatek, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, and an external microSD expansion slot that supports upto 32GB of storage. The Lenovo A7000 has a 5.5-inch (1280×720) HD display and supports USB on the go (OTG), it’s also the first smartphone to feature Dolby Atmos technology. The Lenovo A7000 is a dual sim phone in which only one sim slot supports 4G. The A7000 has a respectable 2900 mAh battery which should be enough to last through a day.

In addition the smartphone runs on the latest version of Android Lollipop with Lenovo’s custom UI on top of it. The A7000 has a 8 megapixel primary camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The device weighs 140 grams and will be available in Onyx Black and Pearl White. Lenovo A7000 has all other standard connectivity options like Bluetooth, WiFi, A-GPS etc.

The Lenovo A7000 will compete with Micromax Yu YurekaRedmi Note and Motorola E2 in the sub Rs. 10,000 segment. It is clear that Lenovo wants to focus on this segment and capture market share. Recently, Lenovo revealed that over 75 per cent of its revenues come from the sub Rs. 10,000 segment. With the launch of the A7000, Lenovo is making sure that the revenue from this segment continues to increase.
